Astigmatism is where the eye is slightly rugby ball in shape, so needs more correction is one direction than the other. You may have previously been told that contact lenses are not suitable for people with astigmatism. This is just not true! With RGP lenses or Soft Toric Lenses most astigmatic prescriptions can be corrected effectively.
